Hard drive Shredding will not be an option

It won’t have escaped your notice that computers are getting smaller and smaller. To facilitate this size streamlining, data drives, (hard drives as we know them) are becoming components of the mother board (the computer’s engine room). This means that in the future (and in certain IT being manufactured now) you will not be able to remove the data storage for shredding without impractically high costs.

Potential downsides include: Competitors publicly criticizing your environmental credentials, your teenage kids refusing to talk to you, people in leaf costumes picketing your building.

2. The good option: Best practice data erasure of internal storage that allows the computer to be reused without risk. Potential downsides include: your teenage kids talking to you.
